I've been interested in the subject of human health for well over 30 years. Do I know all the answers? The answer is NO! The more you discover about health, the more you realise we don't know. In a nutshell, NOBODY KNOWS ALL THE ANSWERS!
This can clearly be seen if you look at the current disease statistics despite BILLIONS of pounds being spent on pharmaceutical research, an ever increasing vaccine schedule, anti bionics coming to the end of their effectiveness and more and more people becoming reliant on operations and drugs to keep them functioning into later life.
Sum Total Health is born out of my approach to health which is to accept that the human body is highly complex and that nobody knows all the answers that can guarantee they can put you back together again should something go wrong. I therefore take full responsibility for my own health and do my best to try and maintain my health on a day to day basis giving myself the best chance of not getting sick in the first place.
This is what I refer to as my "Sum Total Health Mindset". Our mind and mindset plays a vital role in our overall health. It determines our daily choices. It determines our daily actions. Our minds can even increase or decrease our own self healing potential as has been researched and scientifically demonstrated in the emerging field of Placebo medicine. Having a negative mindset can create what is known as a "NOCEBO" effect. You can actually think yourself sick and reduce your self healing potential. Modern medicine, despite its amazing advances in emergency medicine and life saving operations, focuses on symptoms and addresses those symptoms with drugs and operations. The underlying causes are over looked.
This is where I use Clinical Hypnotherapy to help you change your mindset and your view of health and improve your self confidence in your own self healing potential and ability to maintain your own health.
I use Clinical Live Blood Microscopy to begin an amazing journey that will completely change the way you think about your health and introduce you to the amazingly complex microscopic world happening in your body every second of every day, day after day, week after week, year after year. You'll catch a glimpse of it with your own eyes! Disease doesn't happen overnight. It is often the result of years and years worth of small unnoticed microscopic, chemical, microbial events that have lead you down a certain road until eventually your body can no longer maintain balance and you start to experience the actual physical symptoms that try to inform you that something is wrong and need addressing. The longer you leave something, the harder it is to get back on track.
My approach to health coaching is to promote small effective changes, proactively, that you then do consistently for 10, 20, 30 plus years in an attempt to support your body and enable it to function how it knows how to. This I believe has the potential of being far more beneficial than going mad for a week at an extreme detox retreat every year or so. The simple things are often over looked. Sleep, movement, fuelling your body with the nutrients it needs to perform miracles, oxygen and a positive mindset.
I also acknowledge that there are many unknown factors that surround us, that we are exposed to on a daily basis that can undermine our health despite our best efforts and highlight the importance of acknowledging these factors but not letting them become a double edge sword that causes that worry to become another negative factor in your lifestyle regime.
All of these things we do and don't do on a daily basis, our mindset, sleep, movement, microbial infections, chemical exposure, unknown factors ALL ADD UP to give us our SUM TOTAL HEALTH.
